2014 dec daniel gray homage to catalonia

Author Daniel Gray who wrote "Homage to Caledonia" gave a presentation and answered questions on the role of Scots who went to fight as part of the International Brigades on behalf of the Spanish Republic against Franco's Fascist forces.

The meeting was part of the Hope not Hate contributions to the STUC St Andrew's 2014 Anti-Racism Series, and was sponsored by the Morning Star newspaper. It was held in the STUC building, where the historic Rememberence plaque is situated which commemorates the Glasgow men who died in action in Spain 1936-39 fighting for democracy & freedom.
